The Thinabantu Foundation partners with the Esigodini Primary School in Edendale, Pietermaritzburg to assess their ad-hoc needs. The Foundation’s interventions range from financial assistance, financing of infrastructure, provision of goods and assistance to learners.
We focus on initiatives that provide support to learners, teachers and schools. We have partnered with a Primary School and nine (9) High Schools in Pietermaritzburg on programmes that aim to improve learner outcomes. The ultimate objective of our interventions is to use education as a tool to fight and defeat poverty in South Africa.
Our school programmes include:
1. After School programmes focussed on STEM subjects;
2. Facilitating Bursary and Scholarship Support for children from socially marginalised communities;
3. Sanitary Products Drive;
4. Food and Uniform Supply for Primary School learners;
5. Digital Equity Accelerator;
6. Facilitating for Computer and Science Laboratories at Primary Schools.
7. School Careers Expo - to support students from disadvantaged communities with general career planning and information on post school opportunities.
We further offer opportunities for individuals, companies and industries to collaborate with us to support our partner schools. Our stakeholders and partners include corporate partners, teachers, school leadership and local municipalities. We inspire collective commitment to make a difference.
