Gladys Louisa Nomsa Dhlamini Initiative

" 'Women and girls' access to healthcare services in South Africa remain severely constrained. For many women outside of major metros, even accessing a diagnosis can take months and years. Gender-based violence is also a profound and widespread problem in South Africa." Safer Spaces

The Gladys Louisa Dhlamini Initiative supports existing NGOs, clinics and women’s health facilities to tackle diverse female health issues such as reproductive health and wellness, STIs and HIV/AIDS. The foundation also works with other NGOs to address prevalent social ills like domestic violence, rape, child abuse, teenage pregnancy, alcohol and drug abuse. We partner with civil society organisations and partners from other countries as well.

Humanitarian Aid

Our humanitarian actions are aimed at alleviating suffering and maintain human dignity during and in the aftermath of crises and natural disasters. We also aim to prevent and strengthen preparedness for the occurrence of such situations.

Our humanitarian aid initiatives are driven by a commitment to uphold the dignity and well-being of individuals and communities in distress. We work tirelessly to deliver essential supplies, including food, clean water, shelter, and medical care, to those who have lost their homes and livelihoods. Our teams are trained to respond swiftly and efficiently to emergencies, ensuring that aid reaches those most in need as quickly as possible.

Moreover, our approach to humanitarian aid extends beyond just immediate relief. We aim to foster resilience and empower communities to rebuild their lives and regain self-sufficiency. This involves collaborating with local partners and organizations to develop sustainable solutions that address long-term challenges and promote lasting positive change.
